Africa is a rapidly growing market. Already the world’s largest free trade area – boasting a 1.2 billion-person market today that’s predicted to reach around 1.7 billion by 2030 – it is currently experiencing a rapid expansion in city-led innovation in urban infrastructure development and service delivery.
Urban Links Africa has been established by the UK’s national centre of excellence for urban innovation, Connected Places Catapult, to help partnerships between UK SMEs and South African / Kenyan organisations to develop innovative technology solutions to key urban challenges in some of Africa’s most rapidly emerging cities:
△ Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa
△ Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu in Kenya
Whether you are a UK SME or South African / Kenyan organisation – part of a local authority or community organisation, tech hub or similar entity in one of the currently designated cities – you can find out how to get involved with your innovative technology idea or solution here
